Hey everyone,

you might have noticed that the "I have an idea for a meetup" feature is no longer accessible. Recently, this feature was misused twice to send out spam in a "drive-by posting" manner (a user joins the group, posts the spam message as 'idea' and immediately afterwards deletes their account). My apologies for these spam messages.

I have reported the incidents to meetup.com and also asked for an optional requirement for authorization of idea posts by an organizer. I have yet to hear back from them.

Consequently I have disable the 'idea' feature for my groups. In the meantime, if you have an idea for a meetup, please either contact one of the organizers or post it in the forums.
