Welcome "star". I too am involved in two major charities. I teach free music in downtown SJ to underprivileged kids and bake birthday cakes for foster kids most of whom have never had a birthday cake.(www.cake4kids.org) You can donate or just out our/my cakes on our website.

Welcome, OceanLady! The first Meetup for the Bay Area Songwriters will be in Campbell near San Jose and Los Gatos. The actual street address will follow a few days before the event. We'll take a poll of attendees and attempt to find locations and later Meetup dates that will allow the greatest number of songwriters to join us. I hope to meet you soon and possibly to hear your creations!
