The Tillman Story
Pat Tillman, a San Jose native, never thought of himself as a hero. His choice to leave a multimillion-dollar football contract and join the military wasn't done for any reason other than he felt it was the right thing to do. The fact that the military manipulated his tragic death in the line of duty into a propaganda tool is unfathomable and thoroughly explored in Amir Bar-Lev's riveting and enraging documentary.

A good documentary, focusing on the personal: effects of gov't cover-up of Pat Tillman's death - to sell the Iraq war to us - on his family and friends.

KQED Forum had the director of the film on this morning. You stream it off their website later today and they may repeat it at 10:00 p.m. tonight. When the host reads the letter from Lori, that is me. ;-)

Great story. Somebody has to tell the truth. A film truly worth it's value.

I really enjoyed the movie. I was familiar with the Tillman story, but this film added much depth, humanity and humor to it.

Mother's efforts to present her son real personality and personal achievements were successful.
